Duct Cleaning Extremes

Over time many of us have grown accustom to dealing with very visible and reputable companies.  In many ways many of us, myself included, have grown to expect the best from companies and assume that every company is concerned about it’s reputation.  Unfortunately this is not as true as you would home.

One industry that has a chronic issue with schamers is the Duct Cleaning in duct cleaning industry. In this economic climate as we all strive to spend less and save more it is reasonable to look for the best deals. Many “low price” duct cleaning companies are taking advantage of this by attaching hidden fees and additional charges once they are in your home.

Here’s a report recently on the news: http://cbs2chicago.comYou need to be careful when highering any contractor.  If you want professional duct cleaning services check out a companies referals, certifications, (and check that the certification means something) and consumer review websites. A big stop is the Better Business Bureau website to view a company’s grade and complaint history.

Always seek a professional duct cleaning company with a reputation for customer service before and after the sale and a company with a history of fair and ethical practices. Many companies also are members of NADCA – the National Air Duct Cleaners Association which certifies it’s members and provides training.
